International Business Tomorrow Conference

New York, USA, 18 November 2000

Organizer: The Foundation for Student Communication

General information: On the 18th of November the Foundation for Student Communication organizes annual Business Tomorrow Conferences which complement Business Today magazine by allowing face-to-face interaction between business leaders and students. Each year, over four hundred students and executives come from around the country to participate in FSC's conference programs.

The International Conference typically takes place over a three-day period in November in New York. About 200 students are selected from around the world, including Hong Kong, Romania, and Germany.

Previous conference speakers have included Ross Perot, Steve Forbes, Henry Kissinger, and Gerald Ford.

Academic information: The forum features panel presentations that provide expert commentary on current issues. After the panels, the students break up into small groups for more in-depth discussion of the ideas brought up in the panel. These breakout sessions form the nucleus of the conference. Through them, the students learn about critical business issues directly from today's most prominent leaders. Each student interacts with at least two vice presidents and a CEO, in addition to other top-tier students.

Participation in the conference: Organizers are looking for bright, articulate students with an interest in the conference topic. Most attendees are 3rd and 4th year undergraduates, but each year several exceptional 2nd year undergraduates are also accepted. Applicants do not necessarily have to be business majors. In past conferences, there have been large proportions of liberal arts and engineering majors in addition to business majors.

Costs of the conference: FSC pays for all expenses including transportation, lodging, and meals.

Additional information about the conference and application form you can find at web-site of the conference.

For additional information refer to the conference web-site, where you can also fill in the on-line application form.
