Global Supplementary Grant Program 2000 (Global GSP)

Purpose of the program is to enable qualified students to pursue Doctoral studies in humanities and social sciences at accredited universities in Western Europe, Asia, Australia and North America. Global GSP Grants will be awarded on the basis of acadenic excellence and financial need.
Only students who have been accepted into a full-time doctoral (PhD) program are eligible to apply.

Eligibility Criteria:
--Candidates must be nationals of one of the following countries: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Geirgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyztan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Mongolia, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Tajikistan, Turkmanistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Yugoslavia;
--Candidates must be under 40 years of age at the time of application;
--Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the spoken and written language of their host institution.

Applcation Deadlines:
--For students pursuing PhD in North America, Asia, Australia: April 1, 2000
--For students pursuing PhD in Western Europe: June 1, 2000
